Accommodation and RatesCaqalai Island offers bure-style accommodation, catering for about 30 guests. Each guest is provided with a comfortable bed, mosquito net and lighting. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner are served each day. All food is traditional Fjiian-style. BuresBures are situated 10 metres from beautiful clear water and on the edge of pure, white sand beaches. Guests are invited to meals by the sounding of an enormous Conch shell. Each bure is situated within a few metres of the white sandy beach. During the day the hundreds of Palm trees block out the hot sun. Single, double and family bures are available.
DormitoryFor those travelling in a large group we have a comfortable dormitory right next to the water. Family BuresWe have comfortable Family bures. They are also situated within metres of the beach. CampingFor the more adventurous, camping is available. You will need to bring your own tent and linen. FoodWe serve up substantial servings of fresh fish, chicken, pork, dalo, cassava and other fresh Fijian and Indian delights. There is a small canteen within the dining room where you can purchase items such as soap, chewing gum, cigarettes, soft drink, water and snacks. Please note that accommodation rates include food. Food includes breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. There is no alcohol sold on the island but you are welcome to bring your own. Ask staff about cooling your beers in the fridge. AmenitiesBures are comfortable and cleaned every day. Toilets are flushed with a bucket froma drum next to the toilet. Bathing is with a bucket of water and is obtained from the tanks. Rates
